Congrat's RR - I'm glad the shipping worked out and she looks great in Indiana.

Congratulations RR, coincidentally I'm wearing the exact same model Arkansas Traveler on my belt right now that I got at the AG Russell show in '09. Still one of the best.

If you haven' t already done so, tie a hangmans noose paracord lanyard thru the thong hole. It will aid in drawing from the sheath as well as retention with the pinky and ringfinger while the other fingers are busy. Enjoy your new blade.

Thanks Nakano. I actually still have the lanyard from my old traveler that I may use. The difference in horizontal cross draw and the vertical kydex sheath is showing as I wear this model longer.

Thanks for the tip and congrats!

Nakano makes a good point. I have lanyards in one form or another on all of my knives and find them very useful.
In the hip pocket style leather sheaths I make for some of my smaller Doziers the lanyard is all that protrudes from the top of the sheath, the knife being otherwise fully protected.
Lanyards are fun and add color and individuality. I won't even mention "skull beads", etc! :D

Hahaha I have a skull bead on the lanyard for my old traveler

What I really like are leather lanyards. I have one on my small giraffe bone folder. Can't find em anywhere so I did my best to make one and it turned out ok. Definitely a freshman effort though
