Dozier Knives

Anybody add a second pin thru the handle after the knife was finished? Can carbide drill thru heat treated D2?

Have not tried it. Will wait for someone experenced.

Yeah, I want the second rivet, but dont want to be the first guy to try it.

It could be done. However there would be some problems to overcome. The main one being the heat generated drilling the D-2. It would burn the handle material.

Thanks for the reply Dan. Handle is micarta - if a guy had his coolant pump flooding the handle and took his time could the handle be saved in your opinion?

I think it's possible. What is the reason for adding the second bolt? Just curious.

Knife arrived, and think I can live with the single bolt. I was wondering for future dealings, will Dozier re-handle a knife? For example I have a master hunter with desert ironwood, if I decide down the road I want it in orange G10 can I send it in and have it done?
