| First post here and I have a question about my Dozier folder. I bought my folder last year and have put it into my EDC rotation. I was touching up my blade last night when I accidently dropped it on to a carpeted floor. I didn't quite see how the knife landed but it did unlock and partially shut. Thinking that this should not happen, I fully opened the knife and lightly tapped the spine of the blade against the capeted floor and the locked disengaged every time. Now I wouldn't think that this one fall onto carpet would have caused this and was wondering if I should send this in for someone to look at. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. The folder is like brand new and has had very light use( opening mail, boxes, cutting paracord, etc). |

I'd give the shop a call and talk with either Dan or Bob about it, if anything send it back and have Bob take a look at it and fix it. Although I think right now they're at the AG Russell show. Hope you can get it resolved. _________________ Beware the fury of a patient man... |

| Depending on how industrious you are, you can take the folder apart with an allen wrench and a T7 torx wrench. Once you've got it apart, you can bend the liner lock a little to get it to lock back up. When bending the locking arm, be careful not to push too hard, as you just want to bend it a little. I've done this to a couple of my folders as I like them to lock up very tight. That happend to one of mine as well and bending the locking arm a little did the trick. Good luck. |
