Constructed With Integrity The Dozier Classics, which are reminiscent of the knives our grandfathers and great-grandfathers carried, are constructed with the quality you expect from the Dozier Shop. The hidden tang is one-half inch wide and is completely heat-treated to gain the maximum properties that can be had from the steel. A rectangular slot is machined in the handle to perfectly fit the tang. This eliminates the need to fill up the extra space with epoxy. Then just the necessary amount of epoxy, along with a brass nut secure the handle for a lifetime of hard use. These high performance knives are constructed of D2 steel -- the Dozier steel of choice for the best blend of toughness, high strength, and edge holding qualities.	(Click for larger view)

The Dozier Classics come with three basic blade designs: the Skinner, the Trailing Point, and the Slim Hunter. I use a variety of handle combinations including one piece stag, one piece African Blackwood, stacked leather with a Cocobolo pommel, and Cocobolo with a Stag pommel. Spacers are used behind the guard and between different handle materials. I mainly use brass guards, but occasionally use stainless.
